Key Responsibilities:- Posting accruals and prepayments
- Preparing VAT Returns and ensuring compliance with VAT rules and regulations
- Handling CIS monthly returns and processing subcontractor payments
- Using Excel for various accounting tasks and data analysis
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks
- Managing the preparation and bank payments of monthly purchase ledger run
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Supporting payroll processing and cost allocations
- Generating sales invoices
- Analysing credit and debit card transactions
- Managing cash flow
- Proficiency in SAGE and Excel
- Strong understanding of VAT rules and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Previous experience in an accounting or financial role is essential
