About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker in Croydon. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience working with children in a primary school setting.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional, behavioural, and pastoral support to children who may be at risk of exclusion, have challenging behaviours, or are dealing with difficult life circumstances. This will involve:

  1. ">
  2. Developing coping strategies and improving social skills in both structured and unstructured settings.">
  3. Collaborating with the school's SENCO, safeguarding team, and external agencies to develop individualized support plans.">
  4. Monitoring and tracking the progress of children's behaviour, attendance, and engagement.">
  5. Building strong, supportive relationships with children and helping them develop trust and resilience.">

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a range of benefits including access to training and development opportunities, health insurance, and a pension scheme.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong interest in youth justice, social work, or working with vulnerable children and young people.">
  • Experience working with children, particularly those facing behavioural or social challenges.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • A relevant qualification or experience in social work, criminology, psychology, or youth justice.">
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion, safeguarding, and positive behaviour management.">
