Science Academic Mentor | Havering

Are you a Science Graduate seeking valuable experience within a school setting as a Science Academic Mentor?

Ribbons & Reeves are recruiting for an excellent school based in Havering and assisting them to find a Science Academic Mentor to support students in the subject of Science.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in Science, promoting strong subject knowledge and positivity
  • Work with high-achieving and passionate students, inspiring them about their education
  • Develop and implement engaging Science lessons, tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance Science curriculum and teaching methods
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, fostering a love of Science among students
Requirements:
  • First-Class or 2:1 Science degree from a Top UK University
  • Experience tutoring Secondary or A-Level students would be desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to £22,000 (pro-rata to term-time only) | PAYE paid on a weekly basis
  • Working hours: 8:30-16:30, Monday-Friday
  • Opportunity to gain relevant experience and potential Teacher Training opportunities from September 2024
