Electrical Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at BSI. This is a challenging opportunity for someone with a sound technical ability and a passion for ensuring the safety of electrical products.

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating test set-ups and interpreting standards to lead tests. You will need to have a previous background and education in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, with experience in using and interpreting testing equipment such as load banks, multimeters, flash testers, and earth bond testers.

You will work closely with our team to develop and implement new testing methods, ensuring that our laboratory operations meet the highest standards. A strong understanding of electrical principles and measurements is essential for this role, as well as experience with medical electrical equipment standards such as IEC/EN 60601.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to have excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently across a variety of different tests. Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 27 days' holiday, private medical insurance, and a company contribution to pension scheme.
