Job Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Test Specialist to join our team in Loughborough, where you will be responsible for testing electrical medical devices to standards such as EN 60601. As a key member of our testing team, you will play a critical role in certifying the safety of products for global consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create test set-ups/test rigs to simulate normal use and conditions of products.
  • Perform initial calibration checks on testing equipment prior to undertaking measurements and recording of any results in accordance to ISO standards.
  • Interpret and navigate standards to lead tests, obtain results and data to generate a verdict to a specific clause.
  • Support the team in scoping out new efficiencies within testing and generate ideas in support of future CAPEX to obtain new equipment and methods.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background and education in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and awareness of electrical principles and understanding of measurements (electrical & distance measurements).
  • Previous experience with Medical Devices, working knowledge and exposure to EN 60601 – Medical Electrical Equipment standards.
  • The ability to use and interpret testing equipment, including load banks, multimeters, flash testers & earth bond testers.
  • Excellent project management skills, setting up multiple test rigs and coordinating multiple projects concurrently.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.
  • 27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays with the option to buy additional days.
