Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Worker to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients with spinal injuries, enabling them to engage in community-based activities and achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to clients with spinal injuries
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care and mobility
  • Support clients to engage in community-based activities, such as sports and fitness
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to data protection and confidentiality guidelines

Requirements

  • 1 year or more experience as a Complex Care Support Worker
  • Highly interested in sports and fitness
  • Flexibility, maturity, independence, and high professional standards
  • Commitment to delivering client-specific care
  • Adaptable approach to support clients and family members
  • Ability to maintain clear professional boundaries within a home setting

Person Specification

  • NVQ level 3 or 4 in a related subject
  • Nursery nurse qualification or similar
  • Diploma in a relevant health or social subject
  • Significant experience in a similar role, demonstrating commitment to mandatory training, attendance, and engagement
  • Previous care experience in a health, social care, or childcare setting
  • Experience of communicating complex or sensitive information and using skills to overcome barriers to understanding
  • Understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection, Care Certificate standards, and safeguarding vulnerable children and adults
