Job Title: Industrial Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team at the Norwich Production facility. As an Industrial Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our factory and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out cleaning tasks according to the established schedule, including machinery, factory areas, and surrounding spaces, to meet high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Work in various environments, including hot and humid conditions, at height using ladders, scissor lifts, or MEWPs, and within confined spaces.
  • Perform a range of cleaning duties such as wiping, scrubbing, vacuuming, washing, mopping, and operating the ride-on floor cleaner.
  • Mix chemicals for cleaning duties and wear protective clothing as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the factory team and management, reporting equipment faults and any infestation.
  • Uphold health & safety standards for yourself and others, following all procedures and encouraging safe working practices.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and appearance to a high standard.
  • Manage the effective use of equipment and materials, keeping machinery and the cleaning cupboard clean and tidy.
  • Provide holiday/sickness cover for the Site Cleaner, which includes cleaning communal areas such as the canteen, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and offices.
  • Comply with all site rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Honesty, reliability, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Basic literacy and customer care skills.
  • General understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Physical capability to perform the job, including working at height and within confined spaces.
  • Resilience and willingness to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent ability to adhere to strict timetables and adapt to change.
  • Take pride in your work and maintain high standards.

  • Working knowledge of operational and industrial cleaning equipment.
