About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team in Macclesfield. As a key member of the financial operations team, you will provide critical support with tasks such as analytical support, managing invoices, and financial data entry.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales Ledger Management: Maintain accurate sales ledger records and ensure timely processing of sales transactions.
  • Credit Control: Develop and implement effective credit control strategies to minimize bad debts.
  • Purchase Ledger: Process and reconcile purchase ledger transactions efficiently.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.

Additional responsibilities may include ad-hoc accounting duties as required by the business. Strong communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The successful candidate should possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. AAT studies or degree qualifications in a finance-related field are preferred. Previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment is necessary. Familiarity with Sage 50 Accounts software is a significant advantage.
