**Job Title:** Supportive Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Supportive Education Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering person-centered support to pupils who present high levels of challenging behaviors associated with SEMH issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who display challenging behaviors, preferably with de-escalation training. You must be confident working on a 1-1 basis and possess excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.

We offer a competitive salary of £100 per day (dependent on experience) and a range of benefits, including access to free accredited training courses, interview preparation support, and a generous recommend a friend referral scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide emotional support and guidance to pupils with SEMH needs
  • To develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each pupil
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential
