Electrical Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our team at Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous running of our production machines.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team, responsible for minimising downtime during day-to-day operations, PPM's fault finding and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Identify spare parts to effect repairs using machine manufacturer's manuals and order through stores.
  • Maintain electrical standards and record in accordance with ISO 9001 and 9002.
  • Follow up on outstanding issues to a successful conclusion.
  • Maintain and improve plant efficiency through planned PPMs of production machines.
  • Carryout weekly detailed inspections maintain log and defect report sheets.
  • Complete detailed daily logbook reports.
  • Report any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.
  • Carry out SUSA discussions and monthly internal safety audits.
  • Undergo training as required by the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Electrical engineering qualification (ideally at least HND L5).
  • Experience of working in an FMCG production environment.
  • Ideal experience with steam systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and PPM/TPM maintenance operations and worked with PLCs, HMIs, AC and DC motors, drivers and inverters.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, be proactive and can problem solve, have a meticulous eye for detail, can work within a team environment, with good communication and IT skills.

What We Offer:

  • Salary of £46,716.
  • Current shift pattern is a 12 hours shift working across days and night, on a 36 hour working week.
