Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Liberty Steel Group.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,000-£60,000, depending on experience.

Job Description:

This role involves reporting to the team leader/shift engineer, attending breakdowns, fault finding, and undertaking planned maintenance schedules across a wide range of equipment. You will also be required to work a mixture of day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts to provide round-the-clock support to our modern rolling and finishing facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and work with technical data
  • Previous experience of PPM and reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns
  • Experience of general electrical fault finding
  • Experience of maintenance of A.C. and D.C. motors, drives (up to kW), inverters, and overhead crane maintenance
  • Hold a Recognised Electrical apprenticeship (BTEC/ONC at level 3 AND HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Experience with PLC investigation and interrogation (Preferably Siemens S7)
  • A good understanding and knowledge of Health Safety Legislation with experience of adhering to safe working procedures, risk assessments, and permit systems
  • Good level of problem-solving awareness
