The Role:

Do you have a passion for wildlife conservation and public engagement?

Shared Services Partnership is seeking a Wildlife Conservation Outreach Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising awareness of the importance of coastal birds within the Solent's three Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and encouraging responsible recreation on the coast.

The post holder will primarily be working within our dog walking initiative: Coast and Country Canines. We intend to expand the scope of this initiative to work more closely with organisations within the dog industry so they can help share our messaging about wildlife-aware dog walking. The post holder will build our connections with local businesses, such as vets, dog trainers and professional dog walkers, and develop bespoke resources to achieve our objectives. You'll therefore need to have excellent face-to-face and written communication skills and be especially confident in striking up good rapport with people of all ages and backgrounds.

You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire [and the Isle of Wight or other local authority], and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
