Content Development Specialist

As a key member of our Security Monitoring team at Virgin Media O2, the Content Development Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining content for our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. This role will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our security monitoring capabilities, as well as support and maintain our SIEM tools for optimal performance, availability, and integration with other security solutions.

In order to succeed in this role, you'll require:
- Strong experience in SIEM content development and SIEM tool administration.
- A solid understanding of security operations, threat landscape, and threat detection methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, preferably Splunk and/or cloud-native SIEMs like Azure Sentinel or Google Chronicle.
- Strong scripting skills, such as Python or Bash, and experience with SIEM API integrations.
We're looking for individuals with excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Relevant certifications, such as GCIA or GCIH, are a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable but not required.
