Security Specialist

The Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the protection of people and assets at Amazon's SC in accordance with global Security guidelines and Policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Security Operations
    1. Rationalize and review the guard force to ensure optimal coverage and effectiveness.
    2. Implement and follow up on security plans to prevent losses and ensure compliance.
    3. Review post site instructions to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
    4. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, half-yearly, and annual reports on security operations.
    5. Ensure that the security team is meeting all SLAs for processes.
    6. Verify that all control room systems are functioning properly.
    7. Conduct patrolling observations and take corrective action as needed.
    8. Monitor daily vehicle movements and ensure all posts are 4M and 5S compliant.
  2. Audits and Certifications
    1. Keep security plans and SOPs up-to-date and ensure they are compliant with global Security guidelines and Policies.
    2. Conduct periodical checks of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    3. Prepare documents for internal and external audits and ensure they are submitted on time.
    4. Follow up on reports related to lights, hydrants, emergency exit doors, and access readers.
    5. Monitor the number of employees entering and exiting through frisking points.
    6. Review the manpower required at frisking points and ensure it is adequate.
    7. Maintain systems installed at frisking areas and ensure they are functioning properly.
    8. Conduct surprise checks and submit reports on findings.
    9. Perform 5S audits of all frisking points and implement suggested improvements.
  3. Process Improvement and Loss Prevention Program
    1. Review processes and implement necessary improvements to prevent losses.
    2. Conduct quarterly assessments to identify areas for improvement.
    3. Prepare and submit loss prevention reports.
    4. Collect feedback from shop floors and implement suggested improvements.
    5. Follow up and complete CAPAs related to loss prevention.
    6. Conduct loss prevention audits and implement recommendations.
  4. Scrap Disposal Auditing
    1. Review processes and implement necessary improvements to prevent losses.
    2. Monitor the number of vehicles entering and exiting the facility.
    3. Conduct surprise checks of scrap yards and submit reports on findings.
    4. Conduct cross-functional team audits to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Security Systems
    1. Ensure that 95% of all systems are serviceable.
    2. Ensure that 100% of security guards receive training.
    3. Control access and review access levels to ensure compliance.
    4. Submit hygiene status reports and operational effectiveness reports for security gadgets.
    5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for security gadgets.
    6. Conduct monthly review meetings with AMC vendors and submit updates.
    7. Submit reports on new projects and their completion.
    8. Monitor daily defects and submit follow-up reports.
    9. Submit reports and follow up on near misses, suspected movements, and process violations at production.
  6. Loss Prevention Analysis
    1. Work closely with the ICQA team to analyze all unreconciled ASINs.
    2. Complete investigations quickly and submit reports.
    3. Conduct loss prevention audits and submit recommendations.
    4. Conduct surprise checks and submit reports on findings.
    5. Follow up and complete CAPAs related to loss prevention.
  7. Security Stores and Assets
    1. Maintain an updated list of assets.
    2. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for assets and security gadgets.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Security, Loss Prevention, Shrinkage, Asset Protection, Investigations, Inventory. University degree level or equivalent through experience and professional certification.
