Assistant Professor of English

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of English to join our faculty at Northern State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in English, including composition, rhetoric, and professional writing.
Responsibilities:- Teach composition, rhetoric, and professional writing courses
- Develop and maintain an active research and scholarly agenda
- Mentor undergraduate students in research and career readiness
- Engage in cross-disciplinary academic collaborations
- Support student recruitment and retention efforts
- PhD in English or closely related field
- Commitment to undergraduate education
- Strong background in professional writing, especially writing for digital media and/or generative AI
