About the Role

As a Personal Support Assistant, you will work closely with our service users to promote their independence, dignity, and well-being. You'll provide support with daily living tasks, encourage social participation, and help individuals access community resources.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance as needed, ensuring the highest level of dignity and respect for service users.
  • Support service users with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and medication management.
  • Facilitate social participation by accompanying service users to local events, activities, and outings.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, social engagements, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of service user interactions, progress, and goals.
Requirements

We're looking for an individual with:

  • A full UK driving license.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
