Job Description:

At Wayve Technologies Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Software Release Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role based in London.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. As the first point of contact for release-related matters, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the release of our cutting-edge software products.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Defining and managing the release schedule, ensuring alignment with project timelines, resource availability, and business priorities.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining release management processes, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with development, QA, product management, and operations teams to ensure successful and smooth releases.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the release process, ensuring that any issues are proactively addressed and resolved.

Requirements:

We are looking for a Release Manager who is not only organised and methodical but also flexible and pragmatic. In this role, you will need to adapt to changing priorities and be ready to find creative, efficient solutions when faced with challenges. To be considered for this position, you should have 5+ years of experience in release management, software engineering, or a related field, along with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.

You should also possess excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously, as well as strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Experience in the automotive, robotics, or AI industries is highly desirable.

If you have a BSc or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience, and are comfortable working in a hybrid environment that combines time together in our offices and workshops with time spent working from home, please apply.
