Market Connectivity Developer

We are seeking a skilled Market Connectivity Developer to join our team at Millennium Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software applications supporting electronic trading with exchanges, brokers, and ECNs, with a focus on fixed income trading.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement software applications for electronic trading with exchanges, brokers, and ECNs.
  • Develop a working knowledge of futures and bond trading, including RFQ trading systems.
  • Collaborate with the Market Connectivity team to ensure seamless integration with brokers, exchanges, and ECNs.
  • Contribute to the development of automation projects, monitoring, research, and statistical analysis.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Java programming experience with multi-threading development.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • 3+ years of financial institution experience.
  • Strong FIX protocol knowledge, including repeating groups.
  • Knowledge of binary trading protocols is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive Linux development experience.
  • Strong understanding of market structure for futures and bonds.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols - TCP/IP & multicast.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues (Level 3 support).
