Market Connectivity Developer

We are seeking a skilled Market Connectivity Developer to join our team at Millennium Management. As a key member of our Market Connectivity team, you will be responsible for developing front office trading solutions with brokers, exchanges, ECNs, and third-party platforms across all asset classes and regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software applications supporting electronic trading with exchanges, brokers, and ECNs, with a focus on fixed income trading.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement trading solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work closely with our trading desk to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our trading solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Java programming, with a strong focus on multi-threading development.
  • Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a financial institution, with a strong understanding of the financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of FIX protocol, including FIX 4.2 – FIX 5.0, and repeating groups.
  • Experience with binary trading protocols is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with Linux development.
  • Strong understanding of market structure for futures and bonds.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and multicast.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues (Level 3 support).
