Job Title: Band 7 Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 7 Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a key role in providing financial services and proactive business support to Clinical and Corporate Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial services and proactive business support to Clinical and Corporate Business Units.
  • Lead on the month-end process and provide variance analysis under the leadership of the Finance Manager.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Financial Management Accountants to improve month-end processes and ensure accurate ledger recordings.
  • Attend meetings with key budget holders to review Finance position and establishment.
  • Provide costings and finance data to various stakeholders.
  • Deputise for the Finance Manager.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience in all aspects of financial reporting, planning, and control.
  • Technical accounting knowledge.
  • Confident in dealing with people.
Desirable:
  • ECDL.
