Senior Cardiologist

This exciting opportunity is for a Consultant Cardiologist to join the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex congenital heart disease, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include contributing to the management of the clinical service, supporting advanced nurse specialists, and participating in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, risk management, and quality improvement.
As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will also be required to participate in teaching and training, including programmes for clinical students and training doctors in training.
In addition, you will be expected to contribute to research and education, with opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in congenital heart disease.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive clinical experience in congenital heart disease, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

- Key Requirements:
- Medical degree and eligible for full UK GMC registration and a Licence to Practice.
- MRCP
- On GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT or NB. Non-UK trained doctors must be on the GMC Specialist Register in Cardiology by date of interview.
- Fully trained in congenital heart disease
- Higher medical degree relevant to ACHD (MD/PhD).
- Sub-speciality interest CHD imaging, including accreditation in TOE and CHD.
