About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Special Needs Primary school in the Bedhampton area.

This school caters for children with special educational needs, including those with social and communication difficulties, autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties.

The school prioritises outdoor learning and has a range of bikes and scooters available for everyone, as well as safe play areas and an outdoor Learning Lodge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Work under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.
  • Create a supportive and nurturing environment where the needs of all children are met.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Work with KS1 and 2 aged pupils.
Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
