About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our special needs Secondary school in Havant. This school caters for boys aged 11-16 who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with small groups of KS3 and 4 boys, through targeted interventions, to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can flourish.
  • Support teachers in assessing student progress and providing informative feedback to pupils.
  • Support children with strategies to regulate their emotions effectively.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the children.
Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
