About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Brewing Specialist to join our Global Technical team at Diageo. As a key member of our supply chain and procurement team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain and procurement improvement and transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis, problem-solving, and driving improvement opportunities for quality, compliance, product, and process efficiencies, and innovation across the Diageo portfolio, globally.
- Delivery of strategic projects benefitting Diageo's business model, material/product/process quality, compliance, productivity, innovation, and sustainability agendas.
- Horizon scanning and pipeline development to ensure cutting-edge technology being developed and deployed at Diageo.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in a Scientific subject area (ideally allied to the drinks industry) or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
- A strong competency in Brewing and a peak of expertise in one or more of the following: Raw materials & extract conversion, Liquid manufacturing / processing, Biotechnology, Fermentation, Microbiology, Filtration, CIP, Water Treatment, Sustainability.
- Demonstrable record of scaling up complex scientific initiatives, preferably in production environments.
- Proven track record of strategic project and program management and delivery, including risk management and financial awareness.
- > 5 years' experience in a relevant industry in a technical or research role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and influence partners throughout the organization.
- Self-motivated teammate with the ability to lead and drive on own initiative.
