Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented DAFNE Coordinator to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the DAFNE educational courses, promoting and managing bookings, and providing administrative support to the Diabetes Specialist Nurse Admin team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation, planning, preparation, resources, and evaluation of the DAFNE course within the Northern Care Alliance.
  • Allocate patients to DAFNE courses at appropriate hospital sites, book rooms and venues, and coordinate course dates with patients and health professionals.
  • Maintain and update DAFNE waiting lists, completed course lists, and removal from lists, as well as DAFNE statistics and the National DAFNE database.
  • Organize, record, and type minutes of any DAFNE meetings.
  • Assist with travel, accommodation, and course bookings for individual DAFNE team members.
  • Contribute to the design and amendment of new template letters used for clinical communications as required.
