At 5 Star Recruitment, we are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to live independently and achieve their goals.
About the RoleWe are looking for a compassionate and experienced Support Worker who can provide high-quality care and support to our service users. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with their daily living tasks, promote independence, and encourage them to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will also possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and be able to provide emotional support and guidance when needed.

Key Responsibilities- Support and Enablement: Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, housekeeping, and cooking, promoting independence and dignity at all times.
- Mental Health Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs, encouraging them to manage their conditions and maintain good mental well-being.
- Advocacy: Advocate for individuals' rights and interests, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of individual's progress, providing valuable insights for ongoing support and development.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a similar role or within the mental health sector.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification in social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 2-3 in Health and Social Care).
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
- Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
