Job Title: Mechanical Vehicle Technician

Colchester-based company seeks a skilled Mechanical Vehicle Technician to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical fault-finding, with experience in a similar role with large vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual tests and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Attend breakdowns as required and process relevant documentation.
  • Process vehicle defect cards and all legal paperwork in line with company and DVSA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Educated to a NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering proficiency.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience in a similar role with large vehicles.
  • Ability to work to specifications and guides.
  • Able to work in a team or alone.
