Commercial Lawyer at Government Legal Department

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their Central Government team. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality and cost-effective Public Procurement services for a reputable Government Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in UK Public Contracts & Procurement and be able to draft and advise on every part of the commercial process. You will work closely with the team to provide a wide range of advice, including on public procurement, contract drafting and interpretation, grants, subsidy control, competition, intellectual property and data protection law, and disputes and transactions with the private sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on contractual agreements
- Dealing with Commercial contracts, procurement, production and distribution, data and information management, IT, technology, construction, intellectual property, public law, grants
- Dealing with public procurement matters and frameworks
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 years PQE +
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent)
- Commercial Contracts and Procurement experience - preferably in one of the areas outlined above
- Ideally public sector experience but would consider private
- Must be operating within IR35
