Nexos is seeking a highly skilled Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This is a contract position based in Aberdeen with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with company HSE expectations.
- Site Meetings and Risk Assessments: Attend regular site meetings and participate in risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Engineering Support: Respond to engineering site queries, clarify design requirements, and liaise with contractors as needed.
- Construction Assistance: Provide engineering support to construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Procedure Review and Acceptance: Review and accept contractor-supplied procedures and activities for the installation of electrical and instrument equipment.
- Site Acceptance Tests: Witness and accept site acceptance tests to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Commissioning Execution: Implement, execute, and complete all discipline work-scopes detailed within commissioning test procedures.
- Vendor Utilization: Ensure vendors are utilized effectively when mobilized.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Trade Discipline or Equivalent: Time-served relevant trade discipline or relevant NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND.
- Commissioning Experience: Demonstrable experience within commissioning, pre-commissioning.
- Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Knowledge: Very good knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning practices and workflows.
- Risk Assessments and Hazard Studies: Knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS).
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented personality required to interface with Construction and Operations Teams.
