Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Medicine Specialist to join our team at Triple West Medical. As a Consultant in Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with acute stroke and rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement in-house, county-wide, and community stroke services.
  • Conduct daily hyper-acute stroke unit ward rounds and daily acute unit ward rounds (Monday-Friday).
  • Provide rapid access TIA clinics in line with national recommendations.
  • Provide physician cover for the stroke rehabilitation units and Early Supported Discharge service and specialist stroke follow-up clinics.
  • Supervise the education of doctors in training and participate in teaching and training junior doctors.
  • Actively participate in audit and initiate and supervise audit projects related to their particular sub-specialty interest.

  • Excellent leadership skills within the team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have GMC Registration.
