Consultant in Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Medicine to join our team at Triple West Medical. As a Consultant in Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our stroke services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of stroke services, including hyper-acute and acute stroke care, stroke thrombectomy, and stroke rehabilitation.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and provide physician cover for stroke rehabilitation units and Early Supported Discharge service.
  • Supervise the education of doctors in training and participate in teaching and training junior doctors.
  • Actively participate in audit and initiate and supervise audit projects related to stroke medicine.
  • Work collaboratively with stroke colleagues to support the development of in-house, county-wide, and community stroke services.
Requirements:
  • Must have GMC Registration.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of stroke medicine.
