Bereavement Support Practitioner Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and empathetic bereavement support practitioner to join our team at Child Bereavement UK.
This role involves supporting the Bereavement Support Service Lead in providing and evaluating a service that helps families and professionals access high-quality bereavement support. You will work with families who have experienced the death of a baby or child, or whose children are grieving the loss of someone important to them.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and evaluate a service that supports families and professionals in accessing high-quality bereavement support
- Manage a caseload and provide individual and couple sessions, as well as facilitated groups for parents who have lost a baby or child
- Contribute to the development and establishment of Child Bereavement UK's service as a source of advice and support for families and professionals across the region
To succeed in this role, you will need a recognised health, social care, or counselling qualification, experience in working with children, young people, and families, and excellent communication skills. A passion for supporting bereaved families and those whose roles bring them into contact with these families is essential.
**Salary:** £28,000 per annum (plus benefits)
**Location:** Hybrid working from Child Bereavement UK's Centre in Birmingham and home-based work arrangements.
