Job Summary:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEND, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Deliver engaging activities and lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized therapy targets, ensuring pupils make progress towards their goals.
  • Work closely with the school's SEN team to provide additional support and resources for pupils with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting social skills and emotional well-being among pupils.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching or support experience, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school and pupils.
  • Passion for working with children with SEND, with a commitment to providing high-quality support and resources.
