Cabinet Support Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cabinet Support Officer to provide essential policy and administrative support to 2 to 3 Cabinet Members. This role involves working as part of a wider team to support the Cabinet and the Administration collectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide policy and administrative support to Cabinet Members, ensuring seamless delivery of portfolio briefs and priorities.
  • Ensure Cabinet Members' meetings run smoothly, with all necessary arrangements in place, including venue security, attendee confirmation, agenda planning, distribution of papers, minute taking, and action logging.
  • Collaborate with local businesses, the voluntary sector, and partners to achieve our ambitions.
Requirements:
  • Availability for 3-4 days in the office with occasional evening meetings.
  • Excellent minute-taking and written skills.
  • Experience in political or community settings is advantageous.
