About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sweco UK. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical direction and leadership to our engineers, focusing on water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects.

Your expertise will ensure that designs are optimized for efficiency and sustainability, while also meeting quality standards and legislative requirements. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership to the mechanical engineering team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project delivery meets quality standards and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches and digital technologies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster their growth and development within the mechanical team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the water sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
