About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sweco. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical direction and leadership to our team, focusing on water and water recycling non-infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Champion innovative approaches and digital technologies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering their development within the mechanical team.
Accountabilities
  • Report regularly to the Principal Engineer and collaborate closely with project stakeholders.
  • Review design deliverables for quality, safety, and compliance with standards, providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Contribute to construction design management and commissioning strategies.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and explore modular construction solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and have proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the water sector. You will also need to have strong leadership skills, a track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers, and in-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
