About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Design Engineer to join our team at The Electronics Group. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality design solutions for our clean water treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the design of EICA aspects of clean water design projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards.
  • Produce design deliverables, including SLDs, BCDs, Load schedules, Termination drawings, Cable calculations, I/O schedules, FDS's, control philosophies.
  • Arrange and execute site surveys as required.
  • Liaise with designers from different disciplines to ensure the design package is complete and concise.
  • Manage external design resources and compile EICA specifications and data-sheets for procurement of EICA equipment.
  • Assist with management of EICA procurement packages and preparing tender documents.
  • Review technical submissions and work collaboratively with other design departments.
  • Support project managers and directors within the business.
  • Keep up to date with environmental matters and be aware of policy and developments in this area.
  • Present technical data or project results to both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues.
  • Maintain design input throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with controlling and managing budgets at project level.
  • Ensure compliance with design/specifications and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with project programme and all knowledge areas.
  • Attend site meetings and prepare reports.

Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the clean water industry.
  • BTEC HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering as a minimum.
  • EUSR water hygiene card.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Degree in EICA field (desirable).
  • Strong AutoCAD design skills (desirable).
  • Ability to use Microsoft project to manage programmes (desirable).
  • Membership with relevant professional body (desirable).
