Oxford Summer Courses offers a unique opportunity for Learning Mentors for Young Minds to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students. As a key member of our teaching staff, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love for learning in our students.

About the Opportunity
  • We are seeking an experienced teacher who can lead our summer courses for students aged 12-14.
  • The successful candidate will have a passion for their subject and be able to inspire enthusiasm in their students.
Main Responsibilities
  • Course Planning: Develop and deliver a stimulating syllabus tailored to a class of up to 15 students.
  • Interactive Teaching: Guide students through a positive and challenging learning journey, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a productive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where good behaviour and focus contribute to a seamless learning experience.
  • Feedback and Support: Provide constructive feedback to develop students' skills and write personalized reports at the end of the course.
Your Requirements
  • You will hold a Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant subject and have experience teaching or working with young people in a similar role.
  • You will demonstrate exceptional skill in planning creative classes and engaging teaching for mixed-ability groups.
  • You will prioritize inclusive, differentiated practices that cater to individual student needs.
Salary Information

£480 per course (equivalent to £32 to £55 per hour), depending on subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. Preparation allowance additional to contact time.

Working Pattern

12 hours of lessons per 1-week course.
