Academics Ltd seeks to employ a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity for Psychology graduates to gain hands-on experience working with students who require additional support.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of each student's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs, and providing effective support to help them overcome learning obstacles. Key tasks include working closely with students in small groups or one-to-one, creating a supportive classroom environment, and collaborating with psychologists, therapists, counselors, and speech and language specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Identify learning obstacles and triggers while applying psychological insights in the classroom
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to develop their skills and confidence
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment

This role offers the opportunity to gain practical exposure and develop essential skills in special educational needs. The ideal candidate should be friendly, proactive, and genuinely interested in supporting students with diverse needs.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our students. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Psychology and previous experience working with children is highly desirable.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £88 per day (based on experience)
  • A long-term temporary contract with potential for a permanent position
  • A full-time Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
