We are seeking a skilled Financial Clerk to join our team at Pertemps Bristol Commercial. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records for multiple clients using accounting software.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle payroll processing, including calculating salaries, deductions, and ensuring timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping is essential.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Experience in payroll processing and VAT returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum. This figure is based on the national average salary for a Financial Clerk in the UK, taking into account factors such as location, industry, and level of experience.
