About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working alongside and mentoring a team of Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is delivered at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with the Home Manager, ancillary teams, and other Senior Care Assistants and registered nurses to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of person-centred care plans and risk assessments, ensuring the successful delivery of outstanding care.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable, with full training and support provided.
