We are seeking an experienced Defence Safety Standards Expert to join our client's team in Surrey. As a key member of the Systems Safety team, you will lead the delivery of complex safety critical systems and defence standards across multiple platforms.

About the Job

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of safety engineering activities in accordance with established processes and guidance from Def Stan 00-056 and IEC61508.

  • This involves developing safety requirements for systems to ensure that customer safety targets can be met by the system design.
  • You will present complex safety arguments to stakeholders to influence safety decisions.
  • A strong understanding of defence standards and safety assurance is essential.
Responsibilities

This role requires collaboration with multi-disciplined teams to generate high-quality outputs.

  • Support audits at internal and external design reviews and safety committee meetings.
