Job Description:

As an Automation Systems Specialist at Advanced Resource Managers, you will be responsible for applying Control Systems Engineering techniques to National Defence Programmes. Your expertise in SCADA engineering and software design will enable you to provide cutting-edge solutions for maritime control and instrumentation systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Capture and interpret customer requirements to deliver tailored solutions
  • Create detailed technical design documentation to ensure seamless project execution
  • Specify, design, and test SCADA Systems and operating systems using RedHat Linux to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability
  • Manage data communications with third-party equipment to ensure smooth integration
  • Develop SCADA software from multiple design formats to cater to diverse client needs
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven development experience in Siemens (ETM) WinCC Open Architecture (OA)
  • Ability to specify and analyze COTS equipment to ensure optimal functionality
  • Expertise in High Level Programming Languages within SCADA IDE environments
  • Proficiency in Oracle/SQL Database administration and interfacing
  • Understanding of Functional Safety (BS EN 61508, 61511 or 62061) to ensure safe and reliable operations
  • Experience in software testing and verification to guarantee quality and accuracy
  • Hands-on knowledge of RedHat Linux operating systems to troubleshoot and optimize system performance

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
