Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Account Preparation: Prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, groups.
  • Year-End Working Paper Files: Prepare year-end working paper files and assist auditors.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts including posting journals of accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and payroll.
  • Control Reconciliations: Prepare control reconciliations and analytical review schedules.
  • Client Accounting Records: Maintain client's accounting records and reconciliations including bookkeeping, processing of client data, and dealing with queries.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare VAT returns.
  • Client Liaison: Work at clients' premises as necessary, liaising with the bookkeeper/director to prepare accounts and discuss results.
  • Client Queries: Deal with general client queries effectively, passing queries to relevant people as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACCA/ACA part qualified or qualified with at least 3 years of practice experience, or qualified by experience.
  • Practice Experience: Have proven experience of working in a practice environment.
  • Organisation and Planning: Strong organisation and planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Cloud-Based Accounting Software: Experience of using cloud-based accounting software packages, such as Sage, Xero, etc.
Benefits
  • Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
