As a Senior Institute Accountant at The Pirbright Institute, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance team in delivering an exceptional service to all internal and external stakeholders.

You will lead the operational day-to-day elements involved in running an effective management accounts team, under the guidance of the Head of Finance. Your responsibilities will also include managing the preparation of the year-end annual report and accounts, as well as overseeing the audit process.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting expertise, leadership skills, and experience in financial management to contribute to the success of The Pirbright Institute.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Public Sector, SORP, FRS102, Charities, and Companies Act requirements, as well as being a qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification.

A strong background in management accounting, Excel, and Word is essential for this role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

The salary for this position is £47,000 - £48,500 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role within the organization.
