Job Description:

We are seeking motivated and knowledgeable individuals to work in Primary, Secondary, and SEND schools across the region. As a SEND/Mental Health Support Assistant, your role will involve supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs to engage in classroom activities and thrive in their learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs to engage in classroom activities and thrive in their learning environment.
  • Assisting with behavioral management and promoting emotional well-being for students with mental health challenges or additional needs.
  • Helping to implement individualized strategies and interventions, ensuring that each student can participate fully in their education.
  • Encouraging social and emotional development to build confidence and positive peer interactions.
  • Providing support to teachers and SEND staff, helping to deliver tailored learning plans for students.
  • Monitoring and tracking students' progress to identify any additional support needed.
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
