We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to join our team in Nature Finance. The successful candidate will contribute to our sustainable finance research on nature and biodiversity, agriculture, and land use sectors.
About the RoleAs a Research Assistant in Nature Finance, you will work closely with our Executive Director to develop high-impact research in areas related to nature finance and investment. Your expertise in nature, agriculture, agrifood, and land/use sectors will be essential in contributing to the development of bankable and investable markets in nature, financing nature recovery, and related financial disclosures.
You will also have the opportunity to engage with public financial institutions to correct market failures that hinder nature recovery, and to develop new nature recovery-linked financial instruments and structures.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to research publications and present data at conferences
- Represent the research group at meetings and engage with stakeholders
- Develop and adapt methodologies for research projects
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop high-impact research
We are looking for a candidate with a first degree in Finance, economics, environmental science, biology, ecology, data science, geography, sustainability, or a related field. You should also have relevant experience and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text for publication and present data at conferences, are essential. Experience of following and adapting methodologies is also desirable.
