Job Description: Renewable Energy Assets Specialist

We seek an expert Renewable Energy Assets Specialist to contribute to United Utilities' energy resilience goals. As part of the Energy Team, you will ensure effective management of high voltage and low voltage assets, overseeing planning, inspection, and remediation activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality asset management services to support the company's energy resilience objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business-critical asset interventions and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with energy assets, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for energy infrastructure investments, aligning with regulatory frameworks and stakeholder expectations.
  • Leverage technical expertise to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners to stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Provide thought leadership in the field of renewable energy, shaping strategies and policies that enhance the company's sustainability profile.
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and optimise asset performance.

Key Skills:

  • Relevant experience in energy asset management, preferably within a utility or similar sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment and mitigation, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in influencing stakeholders and building collaborative relationships.
  • Able to think strategically, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation while navigating complex regulatory environments.
