Senior Credit Analyst

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team in North London, where you will play a pivotal role in processing and underwriting corporate, commercial real estate, and personal loan proposals. With a strong focus on risk management and regulatory compliance, you will be responsible for assessing credit risks and recommending strategies to minimize exposure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Credit Proposal Assessment: Evaluate credit risks and make informed decisions to ensure timely and successful execution of lending proposals.
- Lending Decision Making: Work closely with the business team to manage lending proposals and present them to senior committees for product introductions and renewals.
- Credit Portfolio Management: Oversee the annual review of our credit portfolio to ensure compliance with borrowing requirements and covenants.
- Risk Mitigation Strategies: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including site visits when necessary.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in underwriting or assessing credit proposals.
- Strong knowledge of the UK lending environment, credit principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate decisions and summarize complex arguments.
