Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Cardiac Physiologist to lead our Elective Cardiology Service at Duchy Hospital in Truro, Cornwall. As a key member of our clinical team, you will drive the service's development and ensure its smooth operation.

The successful candidate will have expertise in delivering outpatient clinics, performing and reporting echo, and supporting cath lab lists for elective angiography, PCI, and device implant/explant.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Cardiology Service, ensuring effective capacity planning and patient issue management.
  • Support non-clinical staff in appointment management, stock control, and Consultant queries.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain ECHO accreditation for the role.
